Sent my scout out once, cant remember where. He came back with 1 high recommendation... None other that Zarate. I saw that his value was 10.5mil, so before i bid, i got Pat Rice to scout him. He came back, saying he would be a great signing, and avalible for just 2.8mil! I have no secured his signiture, and he will join at the end of the season! This seems very cheap for a young player of his quality! Has anyone had him before?

Yeah I signed him for 3.1 million with Reading, which is frankly ridiculous and unrealistic considering he had only just signed to that Qatari team for 11.5 million (a crazy career choice in real life).
Thought I had got an utter bargain, but sadly he turned out to be very average at best - scored about 2 goals in the first 6 months so I sold him to L'pool for 4 million and bought Goitom instead - a far better player.
Oh, and the fans seemed to hate Zarate. I hope you have better luck with him.

| I signed him for benfica in 07 and he was surprisingly rubbish.. Like nick said he only scored about 6 goals in a season :/

Well at his curent clb he has scored 12 in 10 games! AVR of 8.10, and has a great Free Kick stat of 18! Hopefully itl work out well!

Someone posted in the Sunderland thread saying that they bought him in the 2nd season i think and he was the Premier Leagues highest scorer.
