I thought that this would get a mention but for those that want to go for a fun run with a club that aren't top of their league but the potential and their financial ambition can transform said club into a juggernaut.
So here's the thread idea... explain why your club in any of the leagues has the potential to transform their position from either mid table and 5th-7th in previous seasons.

Potential: Sort out a new GK and buy a RB
One of the top mid table clubs with enough potential if you can survive the chairman but if you sort out problem areas then this club would become a cup winner in season 1 and maybe 4th place.
Club: Sheff Wednesday
League: Championship
Transfer Budget: 2 Million
Potential: Enough money for this division, good history, 25,000 fans in the stadium every game no matter how bad the team is playing.
Just missed out via the playoffs in the first season. Great potential, build your team round Glenn Whelan in midfield and Richard Wood in defence. Basically, I forgot to sign a goalkeeper and had to sign Pegguy Arphexad to last the season.
