i reckon you need a world class goalie because van der sar is too old and foster well hes just not up to it. try:
akinfeev from cska moscow
ustari from getafe (i think)
ochoa from a mexican club
bogdan shust from shakhtar goes ok, whether hes world class, i'm not sure.
also how much do you have to spend?

I have around £60M atm. I sold Carrick - £15M, Kusczack - £10M, Evra - £15M, Fletcher - £6M and Saha - £8M.

Only really need a keeper. But for starters, tevez is a waste on the bench. He;s gotta be your main striker. best on the game in my opinion. won me the league 3 years in a row singlehandedly, 96 goals in 3 seasons. LEGEND!

Good side, but a couple of positions you can improve.
1. A better GK. Foster is just not up to it. And even in your second season, VDS should be first choice. He's still very good. I'd recommend getting Akinfeev. Unsettle him a little and you can get him around 16-18M.
2. A better ML. Nani is good but you can do better. If you got spare cash then go for Silva. If not, then go for Guardado. He's much better than Nani. Or you can actually just go for Matias Fernandez who's great at AML or AMC. Brilliant player.
3. A better DM. Now, this is not a necessity in any way as Owen is good. But you can do better. Second season, Mascherano might be available on a free. If he is, get him and send Hargreaves packing. If Mascherano is not available, then look at guys like Veloso or Lucas. But like I said, its not very necessary.
Rest of them are fine I suppose. Get Saivet playing a little more though. Turns out amazing. :thup:

Thanks for the advice:
1) Will look into an investment i had Ustari in mind what do you think?
2) Also for ML i was thinking Giovinco do you rate him? Dos Santos was another prospect but i cant see him wanting to join for a couple more years
3) Its funny you say Veloso because he has been by biggest prospect for a new signing, ive asked around and haven't had much feedback on him is it a good move to buy him?
Just how good does Saivet turn out?

1. Yeah Ustari is fine but since he's -10PA, you never know how he's gonna turn out. Akinfeev has a fixed PA of 185 and he's always great however you look at it. He becomes one of the best keepers in the game. Also, Ustari will cost you more than Akinfeev because he doesnt get unsettled easily. Akinfeev does. Get a scout report on both of them and see what the scouts say.
2. Giovinco is good but I have a vendetta against him because he chose Chelsea over me in one of my games ! Also, I like my wingers to be quick. Giovinco is not slow but Guardado is really quick. They both have nearly the same dribbling and crossing stats. Guradado has better long shots on him as well. So he's my choice. Also, see if Marcelo still have the 5.5M release. I play him as AML and he's BRILLIANT! Bargain at that price.
3. I'm going to get Veloso as soon as the season ends. Gilberto's contract is up at the end of the year and I'm thinking of not renewing it (he'll be 34 soon). I've got Diarra who can stay on rotation and Veloso will be my starter. I really like him because he's excellent at passing and has got a fair shot on him as well. I'd still rather have Mascherano, but he'll cost me more than double what Veloso will cost me!
4. He's just brilliant. Cant post a screenie for you but some stats of his are:
Dribbling 19
Finishing 17
First touch 17
Long shots 17
Passing 15
Technique 18
Composure 13
Creativity 16
Acceleration 20
Pace 20
And he's still improving! He's a little unlucky to be with me tbh because my strikers are Bojan (GOD!), RVP, Vela, Bendtner. Its really hard to break into those 4 because they all are easy 30+ goals a season players!!
