This isn't a bug issue but the actual game coding.
Because of the extended confidence parameters in fm08 the result appears to be the overall view comes out as satisfied / or could do better even though the team may be top of the league and above all expectations.
It appears to be because of the weighting/effect of the transfers confidence and finance/wage confidence which drag down the overall view on how the club is doing.
For example, you pick up a young player as a free with a view to training him, loaning him and maybe discovering a gem or selling for a profit. However, the board look at him and go "he is not good enough for the first team", the confidence bar goes down and this drags down the whole score.
Why they focus on ONE transfer and often the one which is for the least amount but act as if your whole reputation depends on it is beyond me and I cannot imagine how this was discussed in a production meeting and deemed to be a good idea ??
