Default Installing Patch On Mac

Hi, I've just bought a macbook and everytime i download the patch I can't install the patch, it says i have to specify a location for the file to go but then it won't let me put the file anywhere! i was wondering if anyone could give me a step by step guide to sorting this out! i'm not very good at it :-( thanks in advance!

Did you install the Fm2008 from the disk?

You need a full installation before you can patch the game.

No, no no, don't change the PKG. LOL.

Let's start again.

You installed from the CD. Go to your applications folder. Is the FM application in there? Should be in a sports interactive folder.

If so, open the downloaded DMG. It will have a PKG file in there. Double click it.

It will then ask you to put in your password etc. Choose to install in the FM folder in your applications.

Does it let you do that? If not, we can go from there.

It's the same on the mac, double click it's all what you have to do.

Probably the downloaded file is corrupted and you have to download it again.
