No, I think the new multi-sectioned confidence thingy is a bit poo and the average always seems to be "satisfied" even when you win the first 6 matches and are top of the league (expectation - mid table). Thats my current post patch game experience with Stevenage anyway.

To be honest, I found this from the beginning - confidence had been over complicated IMHO and the result is a banal load of text tosh that gives a dull average and no exciting feedback. If the board were a bit more alive you might feel the joy of success and the burning ring pain of poor performance and even a dreaded vote of no confidence.

Instead we get Satisfied, slightly concerned by a poor signing (a young freebie who you may sell for cah), by J.R. Hartley

Quite good. Improvements all over. Just keepers seem to be a little wierd. Had Man U put 8 past Inter's Cesar over two legs and then the prem games in between same shots much worse keepers keep me to 1-0 and 1-1 respectivly. Dont mind super keepers cause mine are freeks! Defending is much much better as is off the ball, creativity and decisions. All these have made the match engine far more enjoyable to watch. Even when i lose grrr. I havent been able to see some of the other affects as i'm playing my save game. In april currently so wont be long. I had some pretty big gripes with 08 but most have been addressed. Most! Players seem to still defy match orders and take far to many long shots. Before patch with beta they did this but they scored some of them. Now with the nerfing of long shooting thye blast them all over the place.

I am currently formulating some new tactics to pick apart the new and improved imo AI. I feel that a few tactics, formations and styles will need to be revisited to see what gives my lads the easier oppurtunities on goal to eradicate the overperforming keepers. It will all come down to a combination of all aspects talks, media tactics so on. Man U are still totally dominant and my other teams seem quite good also. I hardly ever gauge anything from My Man U lads as they are way better than most teams we play. But that being said my Newcastle Jets have played two ACL games and have won both comfortably. Again against a little weaker opponent. There would be a few more issues I could raise but seeing posts made post patch most have already brought them up. Overall this is the best FM of all time IMO. Just as always could be a little better. Good job SI great work. :thdn:
