His ablities is increased greatly in 8.0.1.
He is now 188/198 and his PA is higher than 197 is Ronaldinho.
And PA of Toni Kroos is now -10, One more -10 wonderkids.
| This might be a really stupid question but what does 188/198 and PA mean??
:S </BLOCKQUOTE>
PA is the abbreviation of "Potential Ability" and 188/198 means current ability/potential ability(CA/PA).
Current ability is a sort of caluclated sum of various abilities of a player and potential ability means the highest peak of ability he can develop.
So generally better player have higher CA and more talented player have higher PA.
(But not alway, because distribution of several abilities is also important.) </BLOCKQUOTE>
So the CA is made up by adding up all the players attributes??
How do you find out your players PA?? </BLOCKQUOTE>
1) No
2) FM Scout or an Editor.

Its a football cliche but Messi is a more complete player than Ronaldo.
Ronaldo is the best all out wide player in world football right now, Kaka the best attack based central player but Messi offers what they both offer put together.
He cannot be classed as either a wide or central player for me because he is both. He is a hybrid and the best natural talent in terms of skill and consitency in top level football right now.
All three are massively entertaining although these discussions often dismiss the more defensively minded players who are often equally as good at what they do as these guys.
Mascherano for instance is as good as any defensive midfielder you would like to find. Incredible talent and it is hard to say that the likes of Kaka, who he marked out of last years CL final, are better players.

but... you can have Messi, Ronaldinho, Eto'o, Henry in the same team... plus Dos Santos etc... - being Barca would be just too easy...

1. If you're a Manchester United fan, then you of all people should know not to call them "Man U".
2. Even if Messi is better (which is debatable), he is not THAT much better. It's very close between Ronaldo, Messi and Kaka (maybe even Fabregas). To say that Messi is "something else" is misleading. The Maradonna comparisons wouldn't even be happening if he weren't Argentine...
| 1. - I should be able to call them what I like mate, it's my team.
2. - With all due respect, in my honest opinion Ronaldo has yet to prove himself against the big teams for us - he tends to dissapear against the big teams when he's tightly marked - but I don't mind because we have many match winners.
Anyway that is what seperates him from Kaka and Messi, who seem to perform better the higher the class of the opposition.
Like I said that's my opinion and football is about opinions... </BLOCKQUOTE>
2. And where has Messi shined so much against the big teams?? The only time I remember him playing good against a top team of the top of my head was in El Classico when he scored a hat-trick. Ronaldo has scored loads of goals against Arsenal, and set up goals against Chelsea and Liverpool. Last season's champs league saw ronaldo set up our away goal against Roma, and then scored two and set up some in the home fixture. what did messi do last year?? what did Barca win last year with super-messi??
oh, and how many times did he start in the world cup?? oh, yeah he barely made the bench |

he played good, i'm not saying he's not a good player. he's a great player with a lot of potential but i think he's overrated. to be branded as good as maradona and the best player in europe just because he scored two similar goals and had some nice games is a joke.

And i must disagree with who says Messi is better than Ronaldo, its non-sense. Messi is a crazy runner, who can drible. Ronaldo can't run past defenders in England like Messi does in Spain, Premiership defenders are not that stupid. It's clearly proved that Premiership small teams are better than many La Liga average teams. C. Ronaldo is not just a crazy runner. Besides doing tricks to dismount the defence, he really mounts counter-attacks, create clear chances of goals and sometimes score. C. Ronaldo is a winger, and i would not say Messi is too. He's almost a second striker.
C. Ronaldo is an excelent header, shoots with both feet with great strenght, is really creative and is really good crossing.
Oh, i just wrote all that cuz im sick of all those ppl who say sh*t about how godlike is messi... ;P
| I guess you havent watched messi play in the copa america and the world cup qualifiers then, Much better oppersition then "la liga small teams", and yes he rips them apart by himself... Hes got much better team play then Ronaldo, far better composure in front of goal, and i belive he would easy take apart any English defence... </BLOCKQUOTE>
Actually, im Brazillian, and i watched the whole Copa America. I actually thought Argentina would beat Brazil. Believe me, Messi is not that good when he faces great players or great teams. And, hes not that god. C. Ronaldo is easily a more complete player than he is.
