I've posted the below message in the general dicussion but it was suggested I post it here because of the XML error:-

Hello All,

I have a major problem with my game.

Everytime I load or new game or even log into a saved game my screen goes black, the game crashes and I get the windows error:

'the resolution has changed to smaller than minimal' or something like that.

I also get the following message:

XML parsing error!

Not well-formed (invalid token) at line 20 of TEAM_SCREEN.xml.

I have tried uninstalling the game and wiping out any traces of the game from my hard drive and then reloading but I keep getting the same error once I had re-installed the game.

Is there anything I can do, or do I need to take the game back to Woolworths to exchange it?

Also, I am concerned whther I will get the message again if I exchange the game.

i had the "not well formed..." error message when i added Fenerbache facepacks. some of the names used special characters (accents), and i changed them all to standard english letters in the xml file and the pictures themselves. solved my problem.

maybe the resolution issue has something to do with your add-ons, like a faulty skin or facepack folder?

I don't have anything added to the game as I don't have internet at home to be able to download.

I am playing the standard game (with no beta patch).

How can I make the changes to correct this?

not entirely sure what you should do, as my error was due to add-ons. download the patch onto a memory stick or something, patch the game and if it doesn't help, send the disc back to SI (look at the last few pages of the manual) for a new one.

btw, have you tried to set up "windowed" mode? that may be one of your problems.

I had the error with the fenerbahce facepacks

just delete the folder with the facepacks they are faulty

What's your screen resolution, by the way? The game defaults to 1024x768.

I'll check my resolution tonight but I've never had a problem before.

I exchanged my game in Woolworths at lunchtime so I'll try the new disk tonight.
