For anyone just reading this thread - the following basically explains the problem in more sensible detail:
Will FM08 search all folders in My Docs prior to loading? the reason I ask is because I have spent several hours trying the following:
I have pics for my whole squad except one (ex reaserve). So I wanted to change my player "magnay" (id 28010777) blank face with a pic of a random seleced player in this case simic (id 2002020.) So that I would have a face for my player. I copied siminc's pic and renamed it magnay. I added it to the Chelsea folder and added a line to the config file: <record from="magnay" to="graphics/pictures/person/2801077/portrait"/> However it didn't work. Also I noticed
prem managers' pics appearing in the game and I hadn't yet added them to my graphics folder
As I simply copied simic's pic renamed it magnay and added it to Chelsea then added the correct line (above) in the config file and it didn't work I was somewhat puzzled. So as a test, I altered gallas's ID No and deleted sidwell's pic completely, yet the game displays both pics. So I am convinced the game also sources its data from elsewhere, but for the life of me I cannot figure out where! I have gone thru' My Docs and deleted all my downloaded files that were copied to the graphics folder. Yet still I cannot add nor delete a players' pic! If anyone can throw some light on my predicament it would be greatly appreciated. I have also searched the whole of C Drive for a config file with "ballack" in it and only one result - the one I am working on. To be honest, I'm not that bothered whether magney has a mug shot or not - its just so strange the results I am getting.
