Assuming you have extracted the .rar using winrar or something equivalent, then ensure that in preferences in the game, that "Always Reload Skin On Confirm" is ticked in the Display & Sound section. Then, when you click confirm, the skin (2 actually, one called Metallic, one called Metallic (Right)) will be added to the Skin drop down, select whichever you want, and you're done.

i don't personally think green should be used for high attributes though.

i've always personallyl liked red. i suppose it's to do with the hot/cold colours. green and blue are cold colours so don't imediately lend themselves to high attributes.
it's still better than the current colours though.

Igor_Biscan can u tell me how u did that? I have tried editing my documents\sports interactive\fm08\skins\skinname\settings\fm colours.xml but every time I load the skin it gives me the default colors, I have unchecked use skin cache and set it so that is reloads the skin every time I press confirm, but still it does it...
Btw is there some sort of tool for chancing colors or do I really need to do it manually by color codes?

sorry, maybe it's my failing eyesight - but is this just the background being darker that's giving the effect of being a darker skin - are any of the actual panels darker ?

spiti844 - yes you can.....appears that the font is called vera.....and I copied in another font as that and the guess what, it changed !

now for a bit of tinkering....
