Agreed. One thing I am noticing with 08 that differs from 07 is that you CAN really play the same tactic with minor tweaks from game to game. And, that if you switch wholesale for each game, you will probably confuse your players. Can't say so definitively, but it has seemed that way. </BLOCKQUOTE>
I've always used the same tactic for all versions of FM, tweaking it in-game throughout the season. It always worked for me. Wholesale changes are a definate "no-no" Changing the instructions should be enough
I like FM08 because the scouting is great, and I like buying players and knowing player names, and getting a team together.
But the match engine is totally ****.
Its like I dominate teams from 1st to last, and lose just because the game wants to be "harder".
The goalkeepers seem like glue, some are unbeatable. The amount of times one of my strikers has missed from 5 yards out as he hits the ball into the goalkeepers arms (the keeper is stood on the post!)
So what do I do?? change my tactic so my strikers dont have close range shots??? replace the international striker with another????
I love the game but i wipe my arse on the creators.
