successful (top 4 finish) Spurs season from first season = (un)realistic target??
Hey all
Since i bought the game i've only been trying it out with Spurs (like i always do) and while with previous versions of the game - been playing it since 97/98 - i'm really starting to have the feeling that Spurs are a bit biased to perform bad, at least in the first season.
Now i know that many will praise SI for making such a realistic game - Spurs being in the bottom of the league in real life - but this cant really be said since whenever i take over, i buy more than 4-5 players, who i use in the first eleven frequently, plus 5-6 new coaches.
Players include Owen, Ryan Taylor, Downing, Joleon Lescott, Ignashevich.
I've also been trying the popular tactics being discussed in here, and visited the team guide for Spurs in the Good Player & Team Guide...Mid-Table is the best i can do with Spurs (i'm always talking about the first season only). I also tried my own tactics, and i pretty much suck at it. Any help from ANYONE who has been successful with Spurs - success being top four - is more than welcome, thank you.

yes i have been playing patched. Keep me informed since i too have had starts like that, only to suffer heavy defeats against the top clubs and weird 0-2 losses to mediocre clubs later on..
