Stick with the formations/tactics or Chop and change?
Most of us are creatures of habit. For example, many may play 4-4-2 Throughout the whole season and never change the formation, ever.
Some have no option, maybe down to injuries, moral etc, will constantly change the formations. Being the tinkermen that they are they may just do this any way.
Damn its a tricky beast as. In my experiance, lets say I stick with the same players that I play as often as possible, and always play say 4-4-2 over the course of the games, you can see that the players, interplay with other more so. You can even see that the build up play improves.
But there is one little problem the AI, has twigged, so playing 4-4-2 aint going to work as well as it does.
So changing formations seems to be key, to suprise the opposition. Me thinks...
As lets, I have been playing 4-4-2 for like 20 games, then its starting not to work, I think the AI have caughten on to me, so I play a very attacking 4-5-1 or 3-5-2 it seams to work wonders. But does this affect team play.
Being the tinkerman to often can back fire. Like I said it sure is a tricky beast :/
I welcome your thoughts.

Stick with the formations/tactics or Chop and change? Post #2
I use 3 formations that are only slight variations on a theme which seems to work best for me stick with your 442 and just say alter the central midfield make it a diamond or push your wingers up. Keeps the players in essentially the same tactic while altering the way you attack. Its worked for me thoughout my 07 career game.

Yeah I try to stick the same formation, then adjust accordingly as I watch the match.
The only problem I have of late is keeping players, beasically I need a better Centre back and a Striker, but that will come in time, I think its my team talks as some of my players are loosing faith in my confidence.
