Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

You need to go to the 'player interaction' screen for the player to be taught, near the bottom of the screen choose the tutor from a drop down then make a comment from the selections and confirm.

As the title of this thread suits to my question...

What is the most important attribute to select which old and young players are good couple for tutoring? I really don't like to hear from them that they were disappointed or gained very little from their tutor. So what is important to follow?

1) Player personal page says that his "similar type of player to ... (established player name).
2) Young players personal page says that he thinks somebody is a good player or key member etc. ?
3) Anything else?

And what's the most reasonable option to choose to start tutoring? (role model, approach to game or 'can learn from')

Well I useually look at the coach reports to see who he suggests should work with a youngster. I normally say "can learn from" and have mixed results.

Don't know if it actually helps the youngster improve or not though!

All tutoring does is copy preferred moves from the older player to the younger player, if things go well between them (injuries withstanding).

In 07 I turned Walcott into a Thierry Henry Mk II, he was placing goals all over the place.

Not entirely true. Tutoring can also copy personality.
It can change fairly determined into determined. You have to find a good match.

I had a big problem with Kerlon. I linked him with Obfemi Martins. It said in Kerlons profile that they were a similiar type of player then they had a huge personality clash
