Great day for Sussex football allround actually - Eastbourne and Horsham both won in the FA Cup, whilst the mighty Rooks of Lewes drew 1-1 with Grays - I think Crawley drew with Aldershot too - 5 Sussex Clubs in the draw for the First Round of the Cup
DS- what i think that you should do now, is try and keep the same players for next season, and just bring in loan players or trail players because that is what i did and it worked, i have just started my 2nd season, and i have won the first 5 games and i think your tactics are great mate. I think that more time that you keep the same team, i think that your team will get stronger.
Preseason second season - I've made another tweak, not a fundamental one, but something that has been suggested in the various tactical theory threads floating around at the moment.
I'm not going to say exactly what, because I want to see it against more superior opposition than Worthing and Bognor Regis before I finalise it, but it's certainly working for the moment.
As for signings - I've not changed the squad much at all over the summer - 10 youngsters/fringe players released, who managed 1 substitute appearance (Gary Hart, who wouldn't sign a new deal, despite me wanting to keep him for sentimental reasons ) between them. George O'Callaghan, who was on loan here last season, has signed permanently, a new 'keeper in Rhys Evans of Blackpool has signed on a Bosman, and we've got another couple of friendlies to have a look at a trialist who is very highly rated by the scouts.
So it looks like your 2 season is going to be great, upto now i am doing fine, i have just spent £45 million on 5 players, and they are gelling real good, but i have to say that this tactic is very good.

£45 Million?! - great stuff - who are you managing?
The board have given me 45p (Well, nothing actually), and want me to win promotion, so it's going to be a difficult season.
I am the manager of Man Utd. So we are not doing to bad, but i have now lost 5 games on the trot, so i will see what i can do to the tactic, to see if i can change it.
To be honest, I'm struggling as well at the moment. Beat Peterboro 2-1 before coming to work this morning, but the winner was an OG, and felt more luck than judgement.
I've decided to tick Counter Attacking again, and first up it resulted in an excellent 2-0 away win at Southend, but then we lost on Penalties in the League Cup to Millwall.
