do you think that you can take brighton all the way to the premiership and stay there for a couple of seasons because i think that you have got the team to do it.
Because you have got a great team. And i know that you can do it.
DS - I am going to give this test a go. Used to love the 4-3-1-2 system back in the day, but could never quite make it work on later versions. You seem to be getting some success so it seems well worth trying on FM08.
Gav; Well, first trophy delivered - the Johnstone's Paint Trophy, with a 2-1 win over Hartlepool
I'm still tweaking, and fiddling, with the instructions, so it's hard to tell if I can push on for the Premiership. We've just taken a giant step though, beating Doncaster (2nd) 3-1 away, which puts us in Third, with two games to go. To say it's tight, is an understatement - runaway leaders Nottingham Forest are Champions, whilst Crewe, ourselves, and Doncaster are all on 78 points.
We've got the easiest run in - Bristol Rovers (22nd) next, and bottom of the pile, relegated Swindon (24th) on the final day.
Come on you Seagulls!
Jep; Excellent. Who are you planning to manage? - Remember the instructions are certainly not fixed, and if by tweaking you find something fantastic, let us know!
DS- what i think that you should do now, is try and keep the same players for next season, and just bring in loan players or trail players because that is what i did and it worked, i have just started my 2nd season, and i have won the first 5 games and i think your tactics are great mate.

i am also using brighton and toying with the idea of 4312 at home and 4132 away. do you use the same formation home and away?
I have been, yes.
Perhaps the 4-3-1-2 at home, with a 4-1-3-2 away, as you suggest, could be a good idea. We've buggered it up in the playoffs, I fear - lost 4-0 away to Swansea in the First leg. Swansea have ALWAYS been one of my CM/FM bogie teams, and I dislike them even more now...
As for the home/away variant - what I'd be tempted to do is playing the central (Defensive) of the midfield three as a more attacking player away from home, with the AMC playing as a DMC with the usual defensive midfielder instructions. Not too sure if that makes sense, but it does for me

No that is heartbreak, but there is always next season, i think that you had a great game today against Hartlepool and you won 2-1.
