First game since coming home, 1-0 away win over Hartlepool. Possession was fairly low at 46%, but I was pleased that we managed to restrict the home side to just 5 shots, 2 of which were on target. We created plenty of chances again.
I think the AMC is the key now for sure - Walter Centeno plays that role for me, and against Hartlepool he not only scored, but also made some delightful moves. With 'Mixed' instructions on all bar Through Balls and Crossing, he tends to think for himself - with his high technical stats coming into play, no doubt.
4-2 home win over Crewe next, and we were 4-0 up at half time.
I've added individual mentalities for the fullbacks - 1 above the centre backs - which has reduced their attacking tendencies somewhat, but makes things more solid at the back.
It still, however, hasn't been tested properly - but I'm going to release the first version I'm really happy with to general testing.
Seagul, I most say I kinda like this formation, altho' Im more of a "wingers man". But what kind of players do you use as MR and ML? I'd like to have a go with this in Spain or Italy, as these leagues should suit a slow possession game but right now I'm busy with a quick and direct game with Tottenham.

Love this formation. Just about to try your tactic, noticed that you've got target man ticked. Which one of your SCs is the target man? And what kind of target man do you envisage them as? Cheers.

Law_Man; The targetman is the striker with the lower mentality - and is one of the parts of the tactic that needs further refinement. I personally see him as a technically skilled player who can bring others - the other striker, the AMC, possibly even the outside midfielders - into the game with deft passing and flicks.

If you go to (On Internet Explorer) Edit--->Find then type 'Trial' it is the only one that is highlighted.
Betis; I use a MC as my Right sided midfielder, and an AMC on the left at the moment - this is purely because these are the players that I have available that suit best, IMHO. I would be looking for MLC/MRC's ideally for these roles.

There's no chance in hell the opposition will be able to deal with that
Just a theory - for anyone playing with this this afternoon, try putting the outside midfielders on Mixed passing, more or less dead centre, with perhaps a bias towards direct. Be interested to see what happens really - I'm hoping they will pick it up when they drop deep (as is set in thier individual instructions) and play the ball straight to either the AMC or the deep-laying striker.
It's not about changing the whole idea of the tactic, but more about bypassing teams who clog the midfield (Which this tactic does).
