I have recently purchased FM 08 and after being unsuccessful with several tactics, I decided to try an make my own.
First off, the name. I wanted to give it a more 'realistic' name but I thought 'what the hell - be optimistic.'
Now, the tactic. It is still in early stages of development however early signs are good as I have not lost at home so far. It is a tactic that plays a good mixture of direct and free-flowing football and suits a variety of player abilities. The more skillful your players, the better the football.
The FC should have good strength and heading, so he is basically a target man. It also helps if the wingers have pace, but it is not a necessity.
