One of my hobbyes died. I am a veteran hardcore managerial serias player. i ve started in 93 when you had to use a tape player to load PM Manager.


What SI did this year is like honey dog ****. It smels nice, but feels like crap. A true offence for us the ppl payng 40 $ per year.

- i ve beaten Arsenal with my Rapid Bucharest team with 4-0 then i got raped 6-1 from my U-19 team while having 42 shoots on goal and scored 6 dissalowed goals.( don t bother telling me the high tempo, low CF story, cos i wrote it)

While making 13 mil $ profit within the first season, my chairman sold my 3 best players for amounts 20% more than the actual value, motivating that the fee was too go to turn down

After winning the romanian league and beeing a finalist of the UEFA cup my board was very dissapointed i didn t win the UEFA.I had 3 mil at the beggining of the game and my players are League 2 quality.

THe match engine mocks any kind of inteligence an football knoledgment.

As a result i ll put my FM copy on e bay and wait for FM09.

Ps: living in us and paid 67$ for the game.

so what was the point of this post? total waste...first i'm in the us also and i did not pay 67 dollars. second, quit complaining about your inabilty to understand the intricacies of the game, read the manual, don't cry about it and certainly don't post useless garbage here. if you feel like there's any bugs we have the bugs section and you're more than welcome to post it there, if you don't like the game and want to complain about it, go to the off-topic section. this section is called tactics&training so stick to the topic

I payed for a product am i am free to express my opinion.
Secondly there are some points about tactical issues that ppl are trying to figure out, but there is no point in trying cos you simply cannot beat a foul match engine.

I ve played this game long enough till now and i ve learned not to complain with the first problem i am running into, but i ve noticed that tactical knoledges have nothing to do with this years FM.

If you live in US you should have learned that everyone is free to express their opinion without havin "soccer guru's"like your self mocking them.

by no means am i a soccer guru or mocking you for that matter, it's just a waste of time to post something that is not going to help you in anyway. if you're having trouble with the tactics and dissecting the match engine i suggest you read the posts by rashidi

my chairman keeps accepting bids (bologna serie B) and all I do is offer a new deal to the player concerned with a good minimum sale price and it's stopped the immediate problem.

I acknowledge however that if they offer a decent price within the range of actual value and my own value at some they will go.

But, it does mean you aren't a slave to your chairman in those situations.

This thread is not only for ppl trying to understand tactics, but also for ppl that want to share there experience and opinions. as much as i apreciate your help, i must ask for your respect and understanding for this matter.

As i stated at the beggining of the post, i ve been playeng this kind of games for well over 10 years and i am a passionate football fan with classes at Claire Fointaine. This is my opinion about FM 08.
