The relationship between training and CA progression has changed for this year's game
If a player's CA can't improve, then training will reshape him rather than improve him. If it can improve, then training will be able to improve him, in the attributes according to the training schedule.
Then there is the effect of age on progressing mental and physical attributes.
Overall training is far more subtle now in terms of improving attributes, but more logical.
If a player has 100 CA and 100 PA then training can affect his attributes, but for every rise there must be a corresponding drop to keep the equilibrium. In other words you reshape the player's attributes over time.
Now that's what I found out...and this should explain a lot. Does it work the way its intended is my question to anyone else who's been reading this.
This isn't a theory...I cut and pasted PaulC's response to my questions.
The way I see it..If you have a player who has reached his PA then that player will not improve anymore, but any more increases will come as a result of a corresponding drop to his attributes, in order words, if you focus his training in a new area..that are will improve, but something else has to give.
A player also has absolute attributes, which do improve with training but ever slightly.
Ahh you read my reply in the bugforum about training ?
Yeah the hidden mental abilites ; ambition and professionlism has a huge effect on the players training progress.
If you have a defender who has reached his potential, training him further will improve his defensive stats but at the cost of his other stats that a CB doesn't really need? Is that right?
