When it comes to training I'm very much a novice. Do you find setting individual training programmes more efficient. I myself have been slowly changing my training style when I found out this information about training effects.
I know have a training programme for DCs, Fullbacks, Wingers, DMs, MCs, Playmakers, Targetmen, Strikers, Wingforwards

finished my 1st season. well after one whole season without any changes in attributes my players suddenly got "crazy" and everyone is improving but the arrows are still wrong/bugged, even the loaned ones are improving. oh the monthly coach report on training is also bugged, he reports players that didn't improve and that didn't got worse... i hope i can see some changes during the next season because if players only improve at the end/begining of a season then trainig in fm2008 is ****

From my experience the best way to do this is like this:
I have training for CB,FB,DMC,CM,WINGERS,FAST SC, STRONG SC.
Lets say you are Barca for instance, you will put all the players where they should go and for players like Ronaldinho, Messi,Dos Santos i do the following.
I put them on MC than after a couple of months i set them on WINGERS and again after a couple of months I put them on SC.
From my experience this is a good way of doing training for those versatille players.
Very interesting post! But how do you know has reached his PA before training drops some stats? And what about with players that never reach their PA (I have read that lots of players never can reach it)
BTW, I have question: is CA directly related to attributes? I mean, if I create a player A with the editor with CA 200 and 15 in all attributes and player B with CA 1 and 15 in all attributes, player A is likely to have more value in attributes than player B a year later? I don't so, but I'm not 100% sure
I take each individual player and look at hes role in my system, what is hes strenghts and where can he improve?.
There are 2 type of FB's, offensive and balanced...with milan I have Jankulovski on left and Oddo on right. But they dont have same the training schedules, since there role and strenght are different. F.eks Oddo dont dont have any workload in shooting but jankulovski does.
In the midfield there are 3 type of roles ; the creative, balanced and defensive.
So again I used 3 different schedules.
My tactic used 2 AMC, but one is the dribbler type and the other one creative. So Kaka dont have any workload in setpieces since its not hes job, but Seedorf have it on medium..
I have always tended to make schedules for the different positions of my team. These schedules are tailored for the instructions/skills needed for each position. This is also done for the youth team.
I never change these schedules as in the long run my players will be formed into the players I want them to, to suit my style of play. This has also worked well.
I never use pre-season training. Has anyone seen improved effect of hard physical training with this version?
excuse me for my poor knowledge, but what are PA and CA?
and how to make my players' attributes rise? since its been a month and no changes for good or bad...
