Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Hey Guys, Need help with the newcastle team i have built. I like to think i have a good team but i cant seem to get them to play. I never get a lot of possesion and all my wins are narrow. Where am i going wrong?http://s239.photobucket.com/albums/f...structions.gif

Get rid of the arrows, your players will be leaving a big hole in central midfield.

Use short passing and slow/mixed tempo.

If you want to stick with this formation I'd suggest a slower short game with less width. Like ttbawa says, lose the arrows.

Plus by having closing down often(no beta patch?) and tight marking(do some players have individual instructions or are they all the same?) then your players will use a lot of energy and time worrying about the oposition and less about being in position for atacking moves.

This is just an opinion and by no means set in stone facts.

Download the beta patch and reduce closing down make your dm have low closing down same with your centre backs and make it direct passing and narrow width keep everything else the same.
