Started a new season at West Ham and am having a nightmare trying to bring new coaches and an Assistant Manager in.
One I did snap up is Gianfranco Zola. However his stats are bizarre.
Attacking 12
Defending 19
Technique 3
Now you don't have to be a rocket scientist to know that Zola was one of the most gifted technical attackers in Football who certainly wasn't the best defensively..
So the stats what is going on??? It's almost as bad as giving Dean Ashton 7 for pace and making Mark Noble crap!!!!

This is exactly true- there are many examples of people in all walks of life who are extrememly gifted but cannot communicate these gifts to others. THere are many others also who were not great players but have become great managers and coaches.
but a 3 out of 20? Even if he has trouble communicating his skills over to another he is still gifted technically and is expected to score more than 3.

Having said that, it is hard to believe that Zola is a top defenders coach?
Why not? He knows how to exploit the defence and get through it. So he could teach the defenders how to defend properly so this doesnt happen. Makes perfect sense to me.
