Sounds like "Mutant Apocalypse" to me. I remember playing it on Genesis... but I don't know where to tell you to find it. I got ahold of a Genesis Nomad a few years back, so I go to the video stores that rented Genesis games and the used game stores and pick the actual carteridges up for like 50 cents. heh
Useless Trivia: Many of the x-men games had soundtracks by Kurt Harland, the founder and lead singer of Information Society. (Yes, I'm dating myself here... hehe).
