Ok so i have a question about player instructions, specifically with regards to the forward runs, run with ball, long shots, through balls, and cross balls section.
With player type like a winger i will obviously have him run with the ball and cross.
My question is with regards to a player with high technical stats in all areas, like riquelme. theorectically you would want to turn all the instructions to often, (except maybe crossing since he plays in a central position.)
But wouldnt the turning of everything to often be the same as if everything were in the mixed section? Because if everything is on often then one instruction does not get priority over another, (ex: if long shot and thru ball are both on often which does he decide to do in a situation when both are possible?)
Lastly Am i right to set his thru balls to often and his long shots to mixed, because i think that playing a defense splitting pass is more effective and a higher percentage play than just blasting long shots (his long shots are 19, his passing and crea are both 20).
The ability to decide on what option to take , if the player is gifted, is controlled by his attribute for decisions- if this is high, he will usually make the right option. If it is not high, then it would be bettter to lower his options by selecting mixed thereby not forcing into only one option which may well be the wrong one.
