Forwards had 4 shots (Dong) and 6 shots each (Marthez and Pandev) So i know they are making runs.

And Hargreves has a good average for me so he isnt performing bad.

Players are also coded to act as humans, those chances could have been a genuine attempt, furthermore, these kind of things are hardly bugs, unless you find everyone else complaining about it. I for one hardly see the problem

I set hargreaves to rarely shoot and to basically stay back and defend. He isnt doing that if he comes forward and shoot from distance.

Every game I have he has 5+ attempts on goal. Why when I told him to not shoot from distance and basically just pass the ball.

This isnt happening to hargreaves either. My AMC (Martinez in this case) is doing it too. I set him to rarely shoot from distance and often play through ball which he isnt doing.

I thought setting him to rarley shot long he would play often through ball he would do that but he isnt.

Im finding it that players (even wingers) tend to shoot from distance even tho there are told not to. And it seems that Long shots are overriding players from playing the through ball or crossing the ball.

of course its a problem, my midfielders are always shooting at goal when i dont want them to

sam allardyce at bolton and billy davies at preston, i think used to fine players who shot from outside the box and missed

if I tell my players not to shoot from outside the box then I expect them to not shoot from outside the box.

as it stands I cant even convey this to them such are the short comings in the game tactically.
