First off, the type is too small and the color makes it hard to read. That stuff should be on another page. The site looks like a giant invoice for something with 3 pictures on the top.
Second, people hate pop-ups enough to spend all the money for pop-up blockers...this might be a good indicator to you that pop-ups aren't the best way to encourage people to view your work. I won't take the time to turn off my blockers, I'll just web surf to someplace else... You should either offer thumbnails, or utilize the area at the top of the page to display your works. The three images at the top could be better utilized, as those pieces aren't that spectacular except as personal wallpapers.
It could be an interesting site with a little fine tuning, good luck!

I agree with MsOz. Don't forget, these images on top of your page are about 350 KB. it would take 56k modem users (for example about 50% in the US) 1 minute to download them. They also fill half my monitor and I use 1025x768 resolution.
Don't use the top of your home page as part of your portfolio, but show your art somewhere else.
The site looks good, you just need to pay more attention to these kind of details.

thanks for replying [righton]
i thought i was being original with this layout, still think i am, never saw this concept before. I want to place all on one page, so no links to other pages, and i'm not in mood to change right now. I'll think about new concept.

That's a quite smashing L. Red Green and Blue with some finely crafted images to match.
However, conceptually, having no links to other pages means you're creating a single web page - that is how the Internet started out, so it's not particularly unique. Having multiple pages would imply that it's a website - which is what most people go for these days.
It's not just because it's been accepted as a norm, but because the browsing habits of humans have evolved from using the single page table layout to a neatly structured page hierarchy - so that's what people expect and are used to - allowing for ease of use.
The single page setup does not allow for much flexibility when you want to add new topics or subjects to it since you'll end up filling up the entire page and then some just with headings - with a lot of information people don't really want to see/filter through. It's all about categorization really - and for your benefit, manageability.
It's much more acceptable to me (talking from a personal point of view here) to click on a link that opens a new page/uses the current page, than to have to scroll down, down, ... until the page decides to die a scroll-bar death. Which is where the popup concept isn't a bad idea - but give the visitor some overview by way of a little thumbnail interface - as already stated. Most pop-up blockers intercept popups that aren't a result of a user activity or due to scripting. However, nothing prevents you from using a standard toolbarless window link for that. And it seems that your scripting engine/compiler tries to refresh the start page or something?
And if you want to get technical, you already have links on the site - so you might as well do it proper and get away from the popup poo-poo. Have fun in your redesign - growth is part of every process because nothing can be perfect. Unless you made it in Photoshop of course.

actually, dodo, if you click a link it refreshes the main page with a variable attached to it, this info isn't visible in the adress-bar of your browser, because the site is invisibly framed by .tk. with this info, the script knows which image should be loaded.
i already have got some ideas for the redesign. the 1-page design will remain in some way. i'll drop a post here if it's finished.
thanks for replying.
ciao
