I found in the last game that using the near post flick on for attacking corners worked very well.
I tried the same tactic on FM2008 and it also works just aswell.
I set my best player for heading to near post flick on, another player attacking far post, 2 players challenging the GK and 1 player with good long shots outside the box, with 2 Full Backs staying back with the rest set to Forward. Team instruction is set to near post also.
I usually get at least 10 goals a season with Vidic and i also find that leaving the 1 player outside the box gets goals too sometimes as all the players are dragged towards the goal leaving enough space for him to set himself.
Has any1 else had success with this or any other corner tactics?
I dont know about scoring too many from corners, but I concede bucket loads from corners.
My two players I ask to stay on the near and far posts come off them literally the second the corner is taken and not one of my players ever seems capable of heading the ball out, or winning the ball full stop...
always put my fast striker on near post flik on, he even isn't a good header, but he always leaves his marker behind. He's producing quite some goals this way.
