Tactics & Training Tips

It's no use having a squad full of star players without a decent way for them to play their football.

Default Just a quick pair of questions.

I concede more goals than I like to via headers from 2 feet away. How can I stop this?

Also I have a problem with my strikers. I've set my training to be intensive on shooting and attacking with high ball control and tactics, yet they can't hit a bull in the arse with a bass fiddle.

My strikers are Javier Saviola and Roberto Soldado and I'm playing as Real Betis

To receive less goals from headers there are a couple of things involved:

-Don't let wingers cross to strikers. make your fullbacks mark them shorter.

-Have central defenders with high jumping and strenght, so they can head instead rival's strikers.

To score more goals, make better chances. There are of guides that explain that. Analize where is the problem and fix it (yes, it does not sound as great help..)

No, I appreciate your answer, thank you!

Do you possibly think that it is a positioning problem? Should I have an ultra-def DC?

Tight mark with your DCs as well.

in Opp instructions: always closing down and hard tackling on wingers

Push the D-line forward if your DCs are not jumpy enough.

About scoring - more info is needed. Try high CF, FWR and RWB to allow your strikers to get opportunities closer to goal. Rare long shots is necessary tooo..
