I'd like to start a discussion about scout reports. I've a good guy scouting next opposition but I'm never sure what to do.
Example: Next match is L'pool away and he says:
They play attacking, high tempo 442, they like to get the ball wide. Pitch is short, will be congested, players will have to work hard to create space.
They play direct and we should stop them getting the ball quickly to the front line. Their defense is a bit slow and we should use fast attack. Their midfield is good on the ball and create chances. Gerrard should be wtached as he can be a match winner.
Also order your midfielders and strikers to close down whole pitch to stop their fast attack at the beginning.
"Their midfield is good on the ball and create chances." means that for your own sake you should get possession back ASAP. In practice it means that you need midfielders with high work rate who could retain possession and also good passing.

I play a 443 diamond with a def mid in front of defence and an att mid. Would you set all of them to close down all pitch? and what about opposition instructions?
I'm having the same problems really, and from experience i think these are essential for winning + playing well by countering the AI's tactics, is there anyone out there that thinks they could maybe write how to respond to each comment that the scout brings back?
