I've been playing with my tactics as like most people I'm having big problems but half way there. But when I was tweaking my Closing Down I came to the strikers and in 2007 I'd have them closing down all the time. So I'd have it on about 17/18. This was to put pressure on the defenders and Goalkeeper.

In 2008 I tried this and found my strikers werent putting pressure on anyone and that when closing down was high they didnt seem to score as much. Oh and I'm using the beta patch.

Anyone got any tips or advice on how they set there strikers up. Cheers

i wonder if it is to do with player mentality, a guy with high attacking mentality will not defend as much i would say closing down is part of defending.

Well I play With Torres and Kuyt. Kuyt slightly lower mantality. One other thing id the closing down on opposition instructions but there aint ay affect.

AdZV, try putting the closing down at 20 or all over the pitch and see if that makes a difference - good luck.

The higher the closing down does not tell a player to do it more intensely it just tells him where he can do it.
