How do I maximise the efficiency of my strikers/forwards, 20 shots and 1 goal is not acceptable?

And also..

How on earth do I stop my damn players taking random shots. Example;I had 23 shots in a game and lost 1-0, I was amazed, then I realised van der Vaart did nothin all game but take long shots and miss them, ending the game with about 15 long shots and 2 on target DESPITE ME TELLING HIM NOT TO DO THAT.

I mean ffs I am at the end of the tether with this, I play a 3-2-3-1 formation with 3 attacking mids, but they never ever link to the striker, ever they just take pot shots, the striker ends the game with about 5 passes to his name.

This is becoming a joke, I guess some will say put creativity to nothing, but then that is not making use of the talents of Kaka, Van der Vaart or Seedord.

No long shots and many through balls should mean that, it is ridiculous.

Hyperion are you playing with or without patch - you may be wise to turn the individual player creativity down as well. It may make them stick to the game plan.
