An Early ingame View to my transfer centre, \o/ two good signings.

Ok thats it for the Screeie On Slaught, and more about the game.

To begin with i was demanded by Mr.Beckenbauer to win the league and too help me with this task, he gave me 28mil. But with this money, i needed to adjust my Wages as you start with 250pounds over the budget.

I think all that is needed to help this squad achieve domestic and European Domination is A younger faster DC to Help Van Buyten when he gets tired.(which will happen rather quick), and Possibly a good or 'Great' CM/DM to employ as the lack of midfield back up is rather embarrasing. And with the rest of the money you get you could probably go for youth for the future .

Ok then, thats me, over and out guys!

Bayern in FM 2008 will be a very very easy game.

They allready have an awesome squad.

In my Opinion change Lahm to play DR,and play
Janßen in DL.

A Solid AMC is needet and a replacement for the MOnkey in Goal.

Ze Roberto as DM.

It will be a lot easier game then FM 2007,and that was a lot easy, imagine now in FM 2008.

got a game going with bayern. managed to sign Van Der Vaart for 13m. 6m up form rest over 24 months. playing him in middle alongside V Bommel/Ze Roberto. Schweinsteiger on left and Ribery on the right. Given Ribery a 'free-role'.

dissapointing thing with Bayern is there are no real life youngsters in the U-19's. just generated players. cant understand why SI cant put them in. Bayern website has all the juniors teams on there.

Started my game with Bayern as my first game in FM08.
First thing I did, I gave Munstermann (or whatever his name is) the nickname 'Oliver Kahn'.
Next, I started with a 4-2-2-2 attacking tactic. With Kahn in the goal, I've got the rest stacked like this:

Altintop-Lucio-Van Buyten-Lahm (with short farrows for Altintop and Lahm)
Van Bommel-Ze Roberto
Ribery-Schweinsteiger (as attacking wingers, with long farrows)
Toni-Klose

Depending on my mood, I'll either set up Klose as the TM or Toni as the TM. Then I've got Ribery sending crosses to the Toni as the TM, or if I've got Klose as TM, I've got Schweinsteiger sending crosses to him. At home, we play attacking, away we're a little more conservative. I play a standard 4-2-2 away, with minimal farrows for MR and ML.

I sold Sagnol, the proceeds from that sale, along with a starting transfer budget, have brought the following players in:
Rafael Van Der Vaart, I've been taking out Ze Roberto and replacing him with VDV, with VDV in an AMC role.
Henri Saivet, tearing up the U-19's right now.
Emilio Nsue, along with Saivet, the U-19's have won every game they've played.
Allesandro Tuia, a good prospect at DC
Tony Beer, a good prospect at MC
Joao Carlos, a good young prospect at GK (but he's having a tough time settling in)
Patricio Araujo, another good DC prospect
Martin Cahais, a DC work in progress I'll try and turn a profit on.

I've got three transfers coming in at the end of their loans:
Aaron Niguez, along with Podolski and Saivet, I'm expecting him to step in when Toni and Klose become too old.
Breno, looking for good things from him at DC.
Lulinha, once Ze Roberto retires I should be able to plug him into the lineup.

I'm looking for a replacement for Oliver Kahn now. Rensing I don't think is going to be able to carry the load when we make the Champions League next year. Obviously, I'm looking at Ustari, Akinfeev, and Ochoa. I've offered as much as $28M for each of them, and been rejected by each team. Enyeama, Kameni, Wang Dalei, and Scott Carson are all being looked at by my scouts as well. GK is going to be my biggest problem starting at the end of the season with Kahn retiring. Rensing won't make the grade I'm afraid, Joao Carlos is still too young and most of the other prospects in the Bundesliga don't look too promising.

I've managed to secure two feeder clubs, De Grafschap in Netherlands and Sturm in Austria. I've got Araujo and Cahais on loan at De Grafschap and once some of my other signings show up at Allianz, I'll move them to Sturm. Still haven't picked up a merchandising feeder yet, I'm hoping for one soon.

Before the season started we had some mixed results in friendlies. We demolished Ajax, 6-1, destroyed Club Brugge 6-0 and then came some of our mixed results. We fought Lyon to a draw 1-1, beat Juventus 1-0 and then lost to Arsenal 0-2, lost to Kaiserslautern (mainly with my reserves and U-19s playing) 1-4, and got schwacked by Real Madrid 0-6. That loss hurt, and although we played a good number of young players, the fans and the board weren't happy at all about that.

The season started well, we're still in the Cup at the beginning, handily winning Cup games. We're doing well in the Bundesliga as well. We're in 1st place, but we've tied HSV and Stuttgart, inexplicably lost to Nurnberg and have only beating Rostock and Werder with 1-0 scores.

We're doing fairly well in the UEFA Cup, except we dropped one game to some unknown Slovenia or Czech side, can't remember who it was, and we drew one other game, but we should make it out of group.

I'm an unknown manager, so even though Bayern has huge talent, every win seems like a suprise to the fans. I tempered the boards and fans expectations at the beginning of the year by saying we would challenge for the title, I know darn well that we're going to win the Bundesliga and we'll be back in CL next year.

I'll keep up the progress as the season goes, and I'm sure to start asking questions on potential signings.

Hope everything goes well Lobaeux. As for your goalkeeper problem, try looking at fernando henrique the brazlian or shakhtar donetsk as a team have two good goalkeepers

Quick little update. We're still sitting #1 in the Bundesliga, but it's getting tighter. Mainly because of a tie at Karlsruhe.
UEFA Cup is going much better, we qualified for the knockout stage, and edged out Sporting CP 6-4 through two matches.

I tried to unsettle Bogdan Schust at Shakhtar, my scouts said he was a pretty good GK, not great, but pretty good. He was only going to be sold for big money, so I turned my attention to Akinfeev and Ochoa (I have always picked up Ustari, so I wanted someone new). Akinfeev was available, but WHOA! only for $45 Million, way, way too much I thought. So, I unsettled Ochoa, kept saying I would sign him, then made many nice comments to the Club America manager. I eventually was able to pick up Ochoa for $5M up front and $7M over 24 months. Michael Rensing has definetly moved to #3, but he's playing in the German Cup matches. I'm gonna try and offload him in the offseason. I feel I'm sitting pretty well now in the GK position, I've got Kahn until the end of the season, then I'll play Ochoa with Joao Carlos as the backup.

Edison Cavani is my next target, along with Silvestri and a solid DM. Benega (sp?) from Boca is probably my top DM choice.

Sounds good man. Havent given the goalkeeper situation much thought yet, my only ins have been Saivet from Bordeaux, Schwarz from Bayer Leverkusen and Modric from Dynamo. Im looking at a replacement for Ismael and van Buyten and its between Zapata from Udinese or Garay from Racing. Schwarz and Saivet are ripping up the U19's like yours.

In 3rd season and have Aguero, Richards (Man city had a seriously rubbish season, got relegated, landed him for £10m!) and Banega. 1st, 2nd and looking like 1st again this year in the league. Hannover looking like they are going to be a force, team getting better and better, schalke doing rubbish, Bremen always there or there abouts.

Took on some good scouts when first started and immediately set them to all scout germany - 5 or 6 15 year old were recommended which is signed immediately, these guys coupled with the existing set of 15 year olds made a pool of about 10 very exciting youngsters. Made sure my coaches were top notch and didn't push the youngsters too hard and now that they're all 17 or 18, about 4 of them look like geniune future first team players by the time they're 20.

Podolski is an absolute legend, the way i have my tactics set up mean Klose/Toni holding the ball up and Aguero sitting begind threading through balls means his 'shots first time' and 'shoots with power' are proving deadly. Trust me, if you can get your team to provide him properly, he will bang them in like you wouldn't believe!

Going to be patient and rather than buy some of the well knowns to replace some of my ageing stars, will be replacing with my homegrown talent and see if they can cut the mustard!
