I'm Leeds and managed to avoid relegation last season with 2 games to spare. My team is amazing going forward but my defenders have a positional sense of a fly. Have been leaking goals since pre-season. Anyway, can anyone recommend a good left back and a centre back?

I have a combined budget of 21m.

LB - get Traore on loan from Arsenal (or if you can buy him, great). Pander might be worth a look as well.

CB - see if Breno will come to you. Generally moves within the first season to a good/decent club (reputation wise) and it might be hard to convince him to move to you. Djourou might be available on loan as well. He's phenomenal. Mancienne from Chelsea wouldnt have made the first team there and would probably be available for transfer. He's pretty good too.

A quick question- does the signing on fee include in your transfer budget?

I'm not 100% sure of that either mate. I dont think it does though. I think it goes from your Bank Balance. But in my experience, most players dont need a large signing on fee. Just offer them what they want in their contract and maybe a shade more and a little signing on fee would be fine. For eg, signed Adriano once who asked for a signing on fee of 2-3M. Just gave him 600K and he was happy to sign. Same thing with Owen and pretty much everyone else I sign. I make it a rule to not pay anyone over 750K! Works all the time. The only time you may face a problem is when there are other teams bidding as well. Else you should be fine.
