does anyone have a better way of making grids in CS?
if not is there a way in Illustrator? thankyou

im trying to make a composite image, seperated by grid lines, however i need the grid squares to be quite large. I find the fill pattern wont let me vary the size, as you increase the scale slider, the grid lines become massive. I want to achieve a thin gridline, but big grid square.

Hi BITEM2K,

Mark (owner of the site) has created a filter for grids, wich allows you to specify ticknes and color as well.

Also you can use Halftone filter> select lines, on two separate layers and one layer rotate 90 degreees and then Merge Down.

In the tools palette, were is Marque rectangle tool, click and hold on it with your left mouse button and choose Single Column Marque tool.
You can easily make a grid of a big size with that tool. but if you need to have a right proportion to the distance between grids, you can click Ctrl + R and you will see the table of measurments. If you can use little bit of Math, you will be able to make the grid you need.
There are many diferent ways of doing grids, but it is the one i use.

Im sorry, i didnt realise i was in the wrong place to post these sort of messages.

oh and thanks for the advice, its good to know different ways to get the results i require.
