I was just wondering whether or not height makes a differnace in the game when winning headers and so on or is it totally irrelavent? help gretly appreciated

course it does.youll see from most tall players stats.their heading will be good.making them a target man or a good centre back.if their relatively tall but no good heading then theyll be a different type of player.i.e fast.height does affect it

Actually, height doesnt mean anything in this game. The jumping stat refers to how high they reach in the air, not how far they can jump off the ground. So a small man with 15 jumping and a tall man with 15 jumping would be equal to the ball (minus every other relevant stats, ie heading, bravery, strength etc)

agree with cereal_dave, height is there just as a make-up.
Might though make an experiment - create a dwarfy hyper-jumper and a 300-pounds -lightning-pace striker.

that doesn't make sense. Think about it a 6 ft defender with jumping of 15 should have an added advantage over a striker 5ft 8 with jumping of 15. Height in reality is an added advantage as a defender. Unless your vidic or micah richards because those guys hang in the air.

Researchers will often set the heading/jumping of players higher if they are taller as they have that advantage IRL. There's no need to incorparate it into the match engine
