well, i once saw something on internet. it was a jpeg, containing some fat kid working at burger king with a moving mouth and singing a song. so it should be possible, but i don't know how

Not it's not possible. First of all jpeg doesn't support animation and secondly it doesn't support sound. To be honest, no graphics formats I know of support any sound.

Just so it's known here... i'd advise you look into Swish, not Flash. It's less expensive, has prebuilt effect, and supports all of the most common functions that Flash does, and appears to be fairly simple to learn/use.

What's to say you can't just code something like javascript to display jpegs and play sounds in a sequence?
You're right, I'm not aware of any graphics file formats that allow for sound per se. There are always solutions though, you'll just have to "think outside the box" as it were.
Maybe if you told us what you wanted to achieve tmac, we'd be able to offer other solutions for you.
