If I understand your problem, here's what I do. (Of course there are limitations). You can make your gif in IR and load it on your site and then embed a wav file as back ground music. Set music and animation to autostart or whatever.

Flash does support audio and you can even edit there too. Even the Flash 4 supports audio. The advantage of using Flash is that you can coordinate the music with the animation. I have hear Swish is easier to use. Flash can be a problem unless you have a well written book by an expert. I like the "beginning-intermediate" books at peachpit.

The way I suggest, you can use IR for animation and enjoy sound too. Wav files play on almost all computers. If it is embedded as background, it streams so you don't have to wait for it to load. Well modems may take a bit longer.

I actually added audio to the image in question in Flash and it came out great. I am now in the middle of trying to learn Dreamweaver and having a semi-tough time so far but i'll get there.

I think i tried to post the image i made but wasn't allowed to. any other alternatives to posting it?

Get a good book on Dreamweaver. I've never enjoyed the instructional material written by the producers of DW other than as a reference. For me, the instructions from outside sources are so much better and more practical somehow.

OK about posting your work. You probably ended up with a pretty big file. My suggestion is: get a free site (look in Google and Dogpile) and load your work there. Then give us the URL. Ok you already thought of that! [saywhat]. You could always hit up a friend who has a site or sometimes you can post at school.
