Default Retiring through injuries

Has anyone ever had a young player (18-30) retire because of an injury or a number of injuries before? Or a player that never fully recovered from a large injury?

I've never had it happen to me, but hear some people have.

on 06 i had it as bayern with some guy he was 29 i think and retired.

i quite often have players around 29/30 if they get a bad injury eg. broken leg/ cruciates they never get back up to form or stats but usually ive got a young replacement by then so they just have to step up early.

not in 08,

but in 07, I signed Keiron Dyer, 3 months into his 4 year contract, he broke his leg and retired at the age of 27. I wasnt happy, as he was a crucial player for the team and cost me a bundle... i cant rememebr how much or which team i was, but all i remember was nearly crying. lol
