Problems with Juventus! Chairman keeps accepting bids for players when I'm trying to negotiate higher prices.

Is there any way to stop this?

Could it be that the chairman takes control of transfers when bank balance is not too good?

It happens on occassions mate. There's no way to really stop it. All you can do is give the player a first team or key player status and hope for the best. It's not sure-shot work around, but it does help a little.

If it makes you feel any better, it happened with me at Chelsea. I had won the league had a good amount of money (second richest behind Barca) but we are building Zola stadium. I listed a couple of players for transfer and offered them out. When the bids came back, the chairman accepted without my consent. I wasn't mad because they bid what I had offered but the principle behind it got me mad.

If you really dont want the player to leave you can offer him a new contract. This happened in my Juventus game - Barca offered for Chiellini and the board accepted, so I offered Chiellini a new contract (which he signed) and he didnt move.

Yes, this ought to be removed from FM imo as you never hear this going on irl. Niall Quinn wouldn't interfere with transfers either.
