So, this is basically the problem I have at the minute. After reading a great deal on here I'm doing well at the back but I just can't convert up front.

As England manager, for example, I have 31 shots on goal, 181 on target but I only score twice.

I don't have any players on long shots, what might be causing this profligacy?

Whats your Tempo and Time wasting on?

I find with Tempo quicker and Time Wasting low the team are quick to shot when there not much else on, instead of waiting for players to get in a better position etc

tempo is up a couple from the middle (around 12). time wasting is left at the default.

Surely it can't be that slightly rasing the tempo makes top players become idiots in front of goal?

I'm having the same problem...

The players shoots too soon on the goal...

Even when they can go foward, try to pass the Gk or at least go to side and shoot, they will ALWAYS shoot from far way behind, no matter what I do...

It's very rare to score inside the box!

I think this is the cause of the huge number of shots on target not converted...

Try watching a full match. A lot of times your players will shoot from miles away, making the GK job very easy...

How are your individual mentalities set up?

I find that if I have them set up so that players end up too far away from each other then players tend to shoot if they don't have anyone close enough to pass to.

This is why I stick to Rule of One or Rule of Two so that no player is ever 2 notches more attacking than the player behind him.
