I can relate to the inconsistency...

I'm really struggling to enjoy FM 08, to be quite frank, I just don't understand the logic of it at all. Nothing works for me anyway.

sometimes you can go on a bad run and if you dont micromanage well then things get worse, i was rushing through my season and may have effectively denied myself a chance at the BSP title. I've seen my 8 point lead evaporate, have only won 1 match in the last 6. And things aren't looking better..as my last 8 games feature 4 sides still in the hunt for promotion spots.

Think I'll give the game a miss for a bit, and then attack it for the final burst, morale is shocking in my squad. hmm the assman is pretty good..

Its not even inconsistansy that gets my goat, seems with this latest patch my wingers and forwards have lost the ability to run/or even pass forward!!

I think this is a problem for a lot of players of fm 08. I always have this problem for example, I will have a tactic that might work with amazing success in one season, next season I cannot buy consistent run of wins for anything.

I try to vary the tactic, switch formation anything and it does not work at all, I have no idea why.

So I start a new game, with the same tactic I used in my very good first season in the previous gae, and for some reason the tactic does not work at all, but it was the same tactic that I had so much success with.

It just seems so hard to understand what the problem is without looking into the game with so much detail, and tbh I can't be bothered with analysing everything, and trying to tweak every slider every game for the solution.
