What i normally do is set up a series of different training categories for different positions for my 1st team squad and leave the young guns to train generally for a few seasons. Obviously theres already a specific goalkeeping schedule but i also make others, for example:
central defender: high strength, intensive defending, no attacking, no shooting etc
youll soon find that your defenders wont be able to hit a barn door with a banjo cos their shooting has diminished so much but i find it better to have them concentrating on the defensive aspect.
in summary itll make your players less versatile but better in their favoured position
if you want to know all my training categories then ill let you know
