Hi. Im typing this from work so I cant get any screen shots up but im almost halfway through my second season with Liverpool, and for well over a season have been using a 4231 tactic that I only really tweak for difficult away matches. It involves very short passing, medium tempo and a line that normally pushes up slightly. And at the start of season2 we were playin like Brazil on speed! PLAYED 5 SCORED 25 CONCEDED 8 - beat chelsea 4-1, came back form 3 down to beat spurs 4-3 but then I lost gerrard for 4 months, but the team coped, then i lost rosina, (signed from torino £12m) who was firing at attacking midfield, then the wheels kinda fell off.
Lost 4-3 to everton at anfield, tanked 5 at the emarates, a couple of other dopey resultsand the bored were dissappoined, as where the fans.
So I ask you, even if you have significant cover, how much do you really miss your big players? Should your tactics bee changed in there absence? If hit Christmas and there both almost redy to start playing again, but Im a few points off the lead after being 5 ahead, should I just steam on with them back again or ajust my tactics to see if i get significant changes? Thoughts please

players for tactics or tactics for palyers? Post #2
I think that you should always play to your players strengths so tactics for players.
If, however, you have a very strong squuad, you shouldnt need to change tactics because of major players injuries but perhaps make slight adjustments to mentality- slightly less attacking at home and slightly more defnesive away from home.

It really depends on your cash situation. If you have the cash to get the players you need to play a way you favour then go for it. If not tailor your tactics to get the best out of what you have.
