I'm not sure if this formation is common or not so i'm sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere but i'm playing a 4-1-2-2-1 with my 2 wingers in front of a DMC but behind my 2 AMC's and my lone striker. It seems very well balanced and doesn't really leave me exposed anywhere, and i don't find scoring goals a problem as long as the AMC's are very creative and have a striker with good pace and finishing. What are your opinions on this formation?
also is it a bad thing to have all of my back 4 on 0 mentality and creative freedom? i'd prefer my full-backs to concentrate only on defence but im not sure if there are any negative implications of setting everyone up too defensively?
and one final thing, what would you set my defences passing to?
Sorry if i'm asking too much but i'd really appreciate your feedback i'm not having major success but this formation has worked for me in previous games
