Default Has anyone made a successful tactic using two forwards and NO DMC

Seems to me that it's pretty much impossible to get any success playing a normal 442. If anyone has made such a formation that's brought success please say so.

Just a quick straw poll.

In my first season at Portsmouth I played a 433 using a DMC but when it stopped working I went for a 442 normal tactic, used the default settings for each position then just altered things in player/team instructions to suit the players I have and it seems to be doing ok - ended the 1st season in 13th, won the League Cup and got to the FA Cup semi's. 2nd season I'm 9th in March (but only 7 points off 4th place) and still in the UEFA Cup.

Have just finished my first season with a flat 4-4-2 and collected the Premier League title, FA Cup and Champion's League, but then I am Arsenal.

I play a 442 with Man Utd and in 2 seasons I won the EPL x 2, CL x 2 and Fa Cup x1.

A big team I hear you say, but I also have a 442 I am using with watford, Championsip record, Played 21 Won 16 Drew 4 lost 1. I also won 12 games in a row in the league. I have also sold DeMerrit, Tommy Smith, Henderson and Kabba.

If you want me to upload the tactic I am more than happy to do so.

yes, pretty easy to be sucesfull. Played with barcelona 4-4-2 and won La Liga and Champions in first season. Second season won La liga again as well as european supercup, spanish supercup and clubs championship (i don't know the name but it's that game in Japan, Toyota Cup). I went to semi-finals in Champions.
I now started my 3th season. Played 12 games in La liga: lost one and won all others. Unbeaton in Champions.

Forgot to add that my only foray into LLM so far saw a 4-4-1 win the Blue Square Premier with Exeter City. It can be done.

I forgot to add "without using a huge club packed full of the best players in the world" in the original post.
