Afternoon,

I'm playing as Blackburn. Had a good 1st season where I finished 5th, behind the Big Four. Conceded a lot of goals, but scored even more.

The 2nd season is turning out to be a nightmare of gigantic proportions. I've reached christmas and I'm in 13th place, drawing and losing a lot of matches.

What to do? Any clever clues? Never had theese kind of troubles with FM07.

CaptainOfIndustry, you have, to put it bluntly, been reranked!!! Your first season has been a marvellous achievement and as reward the game engine will have reranked your team causing more AI teams to play counter attack / defensive against you. From reading various threads and self exploration (that is of the game - not actually exploring myself!!!) the common way of dealing with this is to slow down, go wider and make sure your defence is set to defend balls over the top for a solo striker - good luck!!! God, I only used exclamation marks three times - the tablets must be working!!!
