Rep Power: 0 | Pacy striker fro Reading in 2nd season
Having finished third with reading in the first season, I need a pacy striker with good finishing and composure to replace Leroy Lita who I sold to Chelsea for £8million.
I have about £7million to spend.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Try Rodrigo Palacio. If he's still at Boca, he's generally available for around 9M. So you could maybe offer them some money upfront and the rest in installments. Brilliant player and is generally happy to get out of Boca.
Cesar Delgado is another one. In the first season at Cruz Azul, he's available for only 3M (which is a bargain!). So depending on where he's moved, you might be able to pick him up within your budget.
You could try Javier Saviola from Real Madrid. He may just be interested in coming to Reading. He's a backup at Madrid and hardly gets any games. So if you give him a "Key Role", he might just accept. Else, you could try to get him on loan (depending on you transfer budget).
Bojan should be available on loan and so should Carlos Vela. Try both on them. Although young, they'll still get plenty of goals for you (although they might be hit and miss because they are still developing).

Thanks theincreadiblehulk,
I have tried to get Delgado but he rejects all of my contract offers, even if I give him a key role.
Palacio is not interested in coming to Reading and Bojan and Vela are already on loan elsewhere.
I have been looking at JO from CSKA and Eddie Johnson. Would either of these be successful?

Try Zarate, he'll either be in Middle East or back in Argentina. The good news if he's still in the Middle East is that although his value is around £11 million, you can buy him for about £3 million.

Well I've never had Eddied Jonhson or Jo in my team but from what I've heard about them from others, they both seem to work very well. Score lots of goals apparantely. Johnson in particular is mentioned a lot. So get him. And yeah, what Peter_Ole said, get Zarate. He's very good and at 3M is a bargain.

See if Bellamy will come to Reading because it turns out he is the greatest striker in the history of everything
in the 3 games i have started since fm08 has come out he has topped the goal scoring charts by at least 10 goals a season to everyone else

I recommend Eddie Johnson. Just make sure to keep his confidence is high. Without it, he's completely brutal as a player. Can absolutely kill you with the number of missed chances in some games. Other times, he'll carry your team for weeks. Good for 15-20 goals a season maybe more, even on a shitty team.
