Any advice on a decent tactic i can use as i've lost my first 3 pre season games to St johnstone, airdrie, oxford then drew with doncaster! not good

got the game yesterday and slowly starting lol. playin with the dons!dunno who to sign?? lovell is awesome in pre season tho! but ive only got 115,000 to spend???

Okay I've been playing as Aberdeen for a couple of days now (got my copy of the game on Friday). I've dumped my demo save as I still hadn't managed to win a game, however I've followed a fairly similar path regarding players in and out. I'm running the English, Scottish, German, Spanish and Italian leagues, along with the MLS (great for picking up freebies).

I have literally no money left to spend, but the squad is far healthier (albeit less Scottish) than it was. For those of you who don't know Rene Mihelic from FM07, check him out. He's a natural left winger/left midfielder/attacking midfielder/central midfielder and is classy in the SPL. His value has already rocketed past £1m after 4 goals and 2 assists in 8 league matches. Ruben Yttergard Jenssen has been a real bargain, setting up 4 and scoring 2 in his first four games. Unfortunately he's out injured right now. But at only 19 he's a real find (in my opinion anyway).

My usual tactic is a simple 4-4-2, with an attacking mentality, closing down as often as possible with little timewasting and tight marking. The strongest XI would be:

Langfield; Bardsley, Fortune, Diamond, McLean; O'Brien, Jenssen, Severin, Mihelic; Lovell, Maguire.

After 8 games we're top of the SPL, having won 5, drawn 2 and lost 1, with 17 for and 8 against. We were drawn with HSV in the UEFA Cup and went out 5-3 on aggregate. The only minus point of the season so far.

He started my first 4 games on the wing and got 6s. The fans weren't impressed and the chance to get Eagles on loan came up so I signed him and let de Visscher go. Plus Ronnie O'Brien is much better.

Okay, i've started as Aberdeen today. Looking for a team i that will get me into the new fm after my demo save keeps on crashing.

I've picked out the players not worth of the first team or who are just unnecesary and put them in the reserves.
I'll be looking to sell Karim Touzani, Jackie McNamara, Dan Smith and Derek Young.. Before i looked at the necessary positions that need backup or change i had some signings i thought possible to look at. These include Tiago (Barcelona), Alex (Vasco da gama), Eduardo (Braga - loaned out), Gabriel Torje, Mika Aaritalo and Kevin Mirallas I'll be looking to loan some of them.

The positions that need strengthening in my opinion are the GK-position, MC-position, ML-position, MR-position and the ST-position. I think the team needs an average joe to keep the team strong at hard times, a great MC that can control a game, a 1st pick ML and a sub for him, a super stand in MR and a prolific striker.

Players i could have a go at for the positions are:
GK: Fréderic Herpoel
MC: Iñigo Idiákez, Josh Wright, Seth Johnson, Steef Nieuwendaal or Chris James
ML: Marco Ingrao, Brian Pinas or Seán Evans
MR: Frits Paap
ST: Jonathan Wilmet, Christian Yula, Mohamed Kallon, Matt Jansen or Giovanni Cacciatore
