i wonder if there's a general guideline which stats players should have in a certain league.

for example for a respectable premiership player his stats should be 15+ in the abilities (no physical) for his preferred position. in championship maybe an average of 10+.

I think dropping from PL 15+ to Championship 10+ is a bit of a steep drop. I would say you can take 2 or 3 points less for the key stats for each league lower.

Personally I suggest you figure it out by searching for players with e.g. 14 in the key stats for the position... hten you quickly find out what is available for your team/league and what not.

According to that you can then create your own guideline for this.

@mizan: started with crystal palace but had not much time so far to play because of university obligations.

I was Watford in the Championship, I had loads of players 15+ stats in their right slots (ie. Striker 15 finishing etc.)

I think the lower leagues, stats vary more, players with 10 finishing are great in the Conference..

I remember a great Jean Paul (i think) Sigere scoring 20+ goals with 9 finishing!!
